SME Powered Services has been brought on as the electrical and communications partner for NEXTDC’s M3 IP-RING A Expansion.

To meet the continued high demand for datacentre services and maintain their position as industry leaders, SME Powered Services will manage the fit out of four new electrical switch rooms within the existing facility.
As part of this project, SME Powered Services will deliver:
- 4 new 22kV / 690V kiosk transformers
- 22kV cabling, terminations & testing
- Remote operating panel upgrades/modifications
- 4 new LV 690V 2.7MVA generators
- New low voltage switchboards, including installation & transport section connections
- Submain cabling
- Protection setting installation & verification – both HV & LV
- Earthing system upgrades and additions
- Rotary UPS system installation including control cabling
- CSMS system monitoring and verification
- Comprehensive testing & commissioning
- Integrated system testing (IST)
- Load testing
